It's like brushing your teeth with toilet water...if you know what I mean.
Did you know that when you flush the toilet millions of tiny, little bacteria particles are released into the air and can get on your toothbrush? Ewww! Right? Imagine flushing the toilet with the lid up, washing your hands and then brushing your teeth. Why even bother with washing your hands? If you're not careful and you left the seat up so that bacteria can get all over your toothbrush you might as well lick your hands clean because eventually that bacteria is going to end up in your mouth...if you know what I mean.
So here's a little tip from me to you. PUT THE LID DOWN BEFORE YOU FLUSH THE TOILET. Also, just to be safe, KEEP YOUR TOOTHBRUSH AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM THE TOILET. Because, let's face it, if you have kids you can't always guarantee that they will flush the toilet let alone put the lid down. Keeping them in the medicine cabinet (your toothbrushes, not your kids), if possible, would be ideal. Better safe than sorry...if you know what I mean.
One last tip, skip the courtesy flushes in public restrooms. If you do a courtesy flush, that means that all those millions of particles of bacteria are headed up into your "yoohoo" and I ain't talking about the drink....if you know what I mean.
So there you go, my little pearls of wisdom, from me to you.
Now, aren't you glad you read my blog!
Ya, you're welcome.

I've heard that before, I"m glad our toilet is separate from the sink behind it's own door :)
