Last night I made a Beef Pot Pie for dinner using the leftovers from our Sunday roast and following the comical directions of Jessica over at Everyday Romneys. I steamed up some asparagus to go with it, and it was mmm mmm GOOD!
The kids weren't huge fans (I'm thinking it was the Thyme) but they managed to
On the other hand, Dave and I thought it was divine. I had some for lunch today and although Dave doesn't know it, he's having it for dinner again tonight. It's time to clean out the fridge which means leftover night. YAY! I love me some leftover's! No cooking? Sounds good to me! Especially in this freaking heat. We are on a heat advisory for the next few days. It's September. Sep. tem. ber. I hate Arizona.
I told Dave I was going to start decorating for Halloween. He said, "Are you serious?!?! It's 112 degrees outside!" So what? I think I'll just turn down the AC to 70. Feels like fall to me!
I'm adding a whole cooked chicken with veggies and gravy to our upcoming menu. Then I plan to use the leftovers for a chicken pot pie. I have an extra pie crust that needs using. Waste not, want not, that's what I always say! Well, not really but it sounded good right there.
Sorry for the "Hate Arizona" tangent. Sometime my abhorrence of Arizona gets the better of me.
I'll be better tomorrow.
Really!
Oh wait, it's supposed to be 150 degrees, or something outrageous like that, tomorrow.
I take it back. I'm still going to hate Arizona.
I'll be better in November.
Maybe.
*Stay Tuned:
The Damn Cat saga continues. I am a freak. That's all I'm going to say at this moment. You'll have to tune in tomorrow to find out how much of a freak I am.
